Ms. Ponce is originally from New Orleans, La. She lived in Ecuador, for her middle school and high school years. This experience of growing up in her father’s home country, shaped her into the person she is today. She earned her undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Georgia State University, and earned her Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Ponce taught Spanish at Grassland Middle School in Williamson County, for 6 years. She also produced the daily morning announcements broadcast for 4 years. She was also the set director for the school play, for 5 years in a row.
In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, painting, photography, reading, and cooking. She loves spending time with family and friends. Ms Ponce is very excited to join the Valor Collegiate Academy team in the 2017-2018 school year!
