Competitive Base Salary

Our teacher salary schedule outpays the local district and is designed from a lens of equity, based on your years of K-12 teaching experience.

Stipend Opportunities

We offer a wide range of stipend opportunities that expand your role as a leader in education, like supporting with curriculum development, serving as an instructional lead, house team lead, or department chair, or coaching one of our athletic teams.

Comprehensive Health and Retirement Benefits

We offer a choice of premium medical, dental, and vision plans. Valor contributes 5% to certificated employees’ 401(k) contributions per paycheck and 4% to pension plans. For support employees, Valor contributes 14% to their pension plans per paycheck.

Family Leave Policy

We offer 8 weeks of fully paid parental leave time for both primary and non-primary caregivers, as well as private nursing suites for new moms returning to work at every campus.

PTO Sharing Program

12-month employees receive 15 PTO days a year; 10-month employees have 27 school closure days, 8 PTO days, in addition to summer vacation days. We also have a PTO-sharing program to support those who are in need of more time off due to unforeseen circumstances.

Health and Wellness

We offer free access to Valor’s on-site strength and conditioning facility, Vanderbilt Health Clinic, retirement counseling, employee assistance program, and mental health resources from Modern Health.

Unlimited Classroom Supplies

All classrooms are fully equipped with all necessary technology, supplies, and instructional tools, including a school-provided laptop.

Student Lottery Preference

While student enrollment at Valor is randomized via a lottery system, Valor employees wishing to enroll their scholar will be placed at the top of the new student waitlist, increasing the likelihood of enrollment.
