Ms. Telang is a proud Michigan native. She attended the University of Kentucky, where she studied Kinesiology and also played on the women’s soccer team (GO WILDCATS!!) for four years. She then moved to Nashville to be an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at Lipscomb University for two years. Her most recent adventure was the fulfillment of a childhood dream, spending a year overseas in Iceland playing professional soccer. Teach for America has brought her back to Nashville in 2017, and looks forward to joining the Valor Team this year!
Ms. Telang is passionate about mentoring and building fun, trusted relationships. She enjoys spending time with people (over tea, riding bikes, rollerblading, or anything outdoors), reading, or playing sports. Music is her love language; she also loves laughter, pancakes, peanut butter, and a good oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. She’s stoked to join in the joy of being a part of the Valor community!
