Founded in 2014, Valor Collegiate Academies is a network of free public charter schools in Nashville. We serve close to 1,900 students in grades 5-12 across our three schools: Valor Flagship (5-8), Valor Voyager (5-8), and Valor College Prep (9-12). Consistently ranked as one of the highest-performing schools in the state, Valor is focused on providing a transformative education that empowers all students to live inspired, purposeful lives.

Application Process

Davidson County families with students entering 5-12th grades for the 2024-25 school year can apply and enroll at Valor. Through an online application and a randomized lottery selection process, students are offered a seat at one of our three schools. Lottery results for the 2024-25 school year will be communicated to families on Monday, March 4, 2024.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the application period has concluded, and new applications will be placed on the waitlist. Stay informed about your scholar’s application status by checking your Smart Choice account for updates.

Whether you are a prospective family, teacher, or community member, attending a Community Tour is the best way to experience Valor! During your visit, you will have the opportunity to observe classes and other scholar activities, listen to a brief presentation on the Valor model, and have Q&A time with a member of the Valor leadership team.

On Valor’s Waitlist?

Currently on Valor’s waitlist? Please use this link to log into our enrollment program, Smart Choice, to check your current waitlist status. Families on the waitlist must submit a new application for each child for the 2024-25 school year to be entered into the lottery for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
